Aerial Lift Operator Training and OSHA
Compliance Requirements

OSHA 1926.453 governs aerial lift operations on construction sites, and 1910.67 applies to general industry use. Both require operators to be trained on the specific lift type they will operate, including familiarization with controls, stability limits, and fall protection requirements. Training from one lift category does not automatically satisfy requirements for a different category.

Businesses and contractors renting lifts in Carrollton are responsible for ensuring operators meet compliance requirements before the equipment is put into service. Big Rentals can provide equipment specifications to support training documentation but does not administer operator qualification.
